TV Restraint - Gen 4

To prevent vessel-induced movement of the TV while underway, a custom-fabricated locking mechanism was designed and fabricated according to the specified parameters. The parameters are designed to minimize space usage and match the vessel's overall aesthetic.

VESA TV Locking System

Through extensive iterative design and finite element analysis, a system was developed that could be easily manufactured and installed to meet the customer's requirements.

VESA MIS-F Pair

To achieve the most effective design in a space-limited space, a swivel design was chosen to enable easy alignment with each use.  Following VESA standards, the MIS-F measurements were used to determine the best design that could support the lateral loads applied onto the system.

Adjustable Catch and Mounting Plate

The primary constraint of the project was to match the current environment into which the system would be installed.  Given the latching system and wall mount, an easily adjustable, customizable design was chosen.

Latch and Swivel Joint

Connecting a latch with one degree of movement to a TV with two degrees of movement required a swivel-and-latching system.  This solution allows easy movement along both the x-axis and the z-axis.
